Anunciamos el ingreso patrimonial a IDA de Eduardo A. Cánovas (Buenos Aires, 1940), profuso diseñador con más de 50 años de labor profesional en la comunicación visual.

Desde 1960, trabajó en la Dirección Creativa de Arte en agencias de publicidad y asesoramiento para empresas e instituciones. Inauguró Cánovas Design en 1974, especializándose en sistemas de identificación, señalización, stands, arquigráfica, packaging y diseño editorial.

En muy pocos años, y por su potente pensamiento visual, llegó a crear numerosas marcas; trabajos que fueron publicados en anuarios internacionales de Tokio, Milán, Londres, Zürich, New York y Münich. Expuso en muestras de diseño, localmente en el CAyC e internacionalmente en World Symbol Festival (1994), organizado por International Trademark Center (ITC).

La donación está conformada por piezas como paneles, afiches, objetos, fotografías y diapositivas, maquetas, packaging, portafolios y procesos de trabajo. La tarea de investigación se realizó junto a Nicolás Garassino de Logos Argentina.
