Grassi: “The first International Exhibition of Human Comfort of 1969 was the take off of the industry of fairs and exhibitions in Argentina”

In the second interview of the 1970-1980 chapter of the curatorial program Epic: Feats of Argentine Design, Sebastián Quirós dialogues with Juan Carlos Grassi about the characteristics of modern fairs in Argentina that exploited in Buenos Aires and at the federal level in the 60s and 70s.
Juan Carlos Grassi is a specialized journalist, publicist and historian. Since 1970, he has directed Editorial Ferias & Congresos S.A. which publishes magazines, catalogs and guides on the subject. Organizes the Exhibition of the Advertising Industry: Advertising Expo. As author and editor, he has published books such as "National Exhibition of Córdoba of 1871, the beginning of the Argentine agroindustry" (2017), "Argentina 200 years" (2016), and "A History of Argentine Progress, Illustrated Chronicles of Exhibitions and Congresses XIX-XX Centuries ”(2011). He was president of the Association of the Argentine Technical and Specialized Press, and an active member of the Association of Argentine Journalistic Entities; Advisor to the Sociedad Rural Argentina and the International Book Fair of Buenos Aires for more than 40 years. In addition, he co-founded associations, conventions and related institutions.
Sebastián Quirós is a student of Architecture and Industrial Design at the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism of the University of Buenos Aires. At Fundación IDA, he works as a volunteer in the architecture area.
